Life with a toddler...

is so much fun....but boy am I exhausted! I knew once Noah started walking, he would be going everywhere. But I had no idea just how much this little guy was truly capable of until I actually saw it with my own eyes. We've realized just how childproof our house is NOT since he's begun walking, but we're working on that. And we absolutely cannot take our eyes off of him for one second, or he'll be trying to get into something he shouldn't be, and laughing the whole time. I have to say though, watching him walk is one of the most awesome, funny and exciting things ever. It's so cute, since he's still wobbly sometimes, he looks like he's doing a little jig when he walks.

But he can go really long distances now without falling and can walk outside all the way to the neighbors house. He still gets so excited for himself and makes this squealing sound when he does it, and then if he falls, he'll usually start clapping for himself before he can even get off his face...I've never seen anyone clap as much as this kid! And there is no more crawling....I mean none. I literally don't think I've seen him crawl once since he started walking a few weeks ago. And just yesterday, Mrs. Tracy said they were moving to another room in the house and she put her hand out for him to hold and said, "Come on, let's go" and he shook his head. So she did it again, and he shook his head no again. He didn't need any help! He's really started to figure out this shaking his head thing, which I'm not sure where it came from.
We also discovered last weekend while at Nanette and Papaw's house, that he may have a future as a mini Evel Knievel after showing us some tricks on his four-wheeler.

Then he took a ride on the big 4-wheeler and of course loved it, as you can probably tell by his clapping once again.

Then he wanted to drive the Ranger, so of course we obliged.

All in all, we had a fun weekend and it was nice to have a little help keeping up with this active guy....

I'm so proud of him and can't wait to see what he gets into this summer. I know we're going to have fun though because with this little clown, there's never a dull moment!

Meet Me in St. Louis

Jeff and I took a little trip to St. Louis this weekend...partly because it's almost our anniversary and we wanted to go somewhere, but mainly because we were going to see Elton John and Billy Joel in concert, together! First of all, let me say, What an awesome concert! They played for almost 4 hours and it was great...we were sitting on the floor so it was difficult for this short girl to see sometimes when everyone was standing up, but other than that the seats were really good. Unfortunately, halfway to St. Louis we realized we had forgotten to bring a camera so we stopped and bought a cheap one at Wal-Mart so the quality of our pictures are not so great, but at least we had pictures! Here we are getting ready to go in to the concert....

First, Elton John and Billy Joel came out and sang a bunch of their songs together....each of them sitting at their piano....

Then they each played by themselves for about an hour each....I was so surprised they played for as long as they did!

Billy Joel even got up and played the guitar for one song....but then it was back to the piano.

Then at the end, they came back out and played more songs together, and my favorite part....the moment that made the whole concert for me, was when Billy Joel put on his harmonica and they played Piano Man for the final song. It was awesome!! We had such a good time at the concert...

The next day we went to the Cardinals game. We had great tickets to this also and were so excited about the game. We were literally sitting right by first base....this was our view....

But unfortunately, after only a couple of innings, it started to storm and so we had to run under the cover for the rain delay. We waited it out hoping that they would finish the game after the rain, but after a couple hours, they finally called it. So disappointing....oh well, we still had fun.

We had a great time together on our trip, but I was very excited to get back and see my little man. And boy did we have a good greeting when we got home. Ever since he took his first steps a couple of weeks ago, he's kind of been a little hesitant to do it too much more. He would take a step here and there, but he still wasn't really "walking". Well, when we walked in the door, he walked all the way across the living room to greet us! He started doing it this weekend when my parents were here with him (thanks again for watching him all weekend!!) and boy is he proud of himself. He'll take a few steps, stop and clap, then take a few more steps and clap some more....such a ham. But now we are officially mobile...what a big boy!!
