That's what friends are for

This weekend I helped throw a shower for one of my "bestest" friends who's about to have a baby! It's her first and she's having a little girl. I'm so excited for them and I know they're going to make such great parents. And I love showers because it gives us girls an excuse to go back home and see each other and all our moms. I think I'm lucky to have friends that have been around for so long and that I know will be around 50 years from now. I was joking at the shower that before we know it we'll be back , probably at the same place, hosting wedding and baby showers for all of our kids. Ok, I know we have a while until that happens....but it makes me happy to think back on all the special times in our lives that we've shared with each other. That's what good friends do, they're there to celebrate the great times with you, and they're there to walk with you through the rough times, never turning their back on you. No matter how far apart we live, or how long we go without seeing each other, as soon as we get together it's just like we were in junior high again, giggling and talking so loud and sharing inside jokes. It's so fun...and we had fun this weekend too. And I must admit, I had a little bit of baby envy looking at all the fun baby stuff (don't worry.....just a little bit : ) And I can't wait to meet little Allie. She's going to make such a great addition to our 2nd generation of little White Hall babies!

Weekend review

This weekend was a fun one. We started with the JDRF walk on Saturday morning. This was Noah's first walk to attend with me since last year he was too small to go. But not this year! We had a great turnout and had lots of fun. Noah got a picture with the Hog...

He had lots of fun dancing around to all the loud music and being a ham for everyone. And he did good during the walk...he of course rode in the stroller since it was a 5K and was very ready to get out by the end, but he was a good sport for most of it.

Then after the walk, we had Gabby's birthday party. It was at a gym, and Noah had lots of fun. He liked being able to run around and climb on everything and jump on the trampoline. Once again, he was the only boy at the party, but I don't think he minded too much.

Noah fell asleep before we could get home from the party, and it was only about a 5 minute drive. Then later, we went and celebrated even more birthdays with friends and a 6 pound lobster. I'd never seen a lobster that big, and especially not one that was still alive and it totally creeped me out. But he sure was yummy!! I love fun weekends!

Working 9 to 5

Mrs. Tracy had something she had to do this morning, so Jeff took Noah with him to work for the morning while she was at her appointment. They had a great time and it turns out he really likes working! But it really wore him out. I think maybe we'll let him start working every day while we stay home and play with toys and take naps. : )

Whew...I've put in a long day already. I just need to sit here for a minute and rest my eyes. Hold my calls for me will ya?
