This past weekend we went to Hot Springs again for Jeff's brother's wedding. It was at Garvan Gardens and besides the 105 degree heat, it was a beautiful wedding weekend. I have to admit, I was a little nervous about how Noah would do during all the wedding festivities.....rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony.....these things are sometimes not the most 2-year-old-friendly events. But I was SOOO impressed at how he did all weekend. He was so well-behaved and even provided some entertainment and I was so thankful for that. And even though I know he's a great sleeper, I was impressed at how well he slept on the fold-out couch in the hotel room. When it was time to go night-night, he climbed up on that uncomfortable little bed, said his prayers, tucked Gus the dog underneath his arm and went right to sleep. I know Jeff and I realize how blessed we are to have such a great sleeper....I hope he continues that as he gets older. And during the wedding ceremony, Papaw wanted Noah to sit up front with them and I was nervous because I had been planning on sitting in the back row in case we needed to make a quick exit! But we went ahead and made the long trip up front to wait in the front row for Nanette and Papaw. And that little stinker sat right in between them and never made a peep the whole time! I think he enjoyed watching Uncle Greg and Aunt Kelly getting married...he even waved really big to Uncle G once he walked out on the stage.
This is the front entrance of the chapel....such a pretty place. Here is Jeff at the rehearsal walking his mom in....and in the background you can see Noah with his Papaw. He was so attached to his Papaw all weekend...
Yay! We finally got a family picture with us all dressed up...all the weddings we've been to this summer and this is the first one.
This is Noah and his 2nd cousin Raelee. He must have been showing her something here.
And here is a picture of the beautiful bride and her groom. Don't they look great?
And finally a picture of the guys...daddy, Noah and his proud Uncle "G".
Congratulations Greg and Kelly! It was a beautiful wedding and we're so glad we could be a part of your special weekend.
