Finally....

I've really dropped the blogging ball over the last few weeks and wanted to get a post in before it had actually been a full month since the last one. I guess with traveling for almost 2 weeks over Christmas and then getting back in the swing of things with the new year and being sick for 2 weeks, plus the cord to my camera being missing until yesterday so I couldn't upload any pictures, all has led to my long absence. But we're back! So our Christmas was great but I won't post a bunch of Christmas pictures now that we're already halfway through January. I'll just give you some of the highlights over the last few weeks.

This is my grandma at Christmas with 2 of her new great-grandkids. It looks like she has her hands full with these two. Noah and Zoe were born only a couple of weeks apart. This is my dad's side of the family and it just keeps growing and growing...I think there were nearly 50 people at our Christmas lunch!

About a month ago, Noah discovered his feet for the first time. And they must taste so good because once he got his toes in his mouth, he didn't want to take them out. Now, whenever he has socks on, he tries to pull them off all the time so he can get to those yummy toes. Kinda cute, but a little frustrating when you're pushing him around in the stroller at the mall and his socks go flying out onto the floor. Oh well. Isn't it crazy how flexible babies are...can you imagine if we sat around with our feet in our mouth all the time?

Another little trick Noah has accomplished (not so much a trick I guess, but anytime he does something new, I get so excited) is standing by himself while holding onto something other than one of us. I was putting up the Christmas decorations a couple of weeks ago and he was very curious about the big box I was putting everything in. I was holding him up so he could look in, and he grabbed onto the side of it. He seemed so sturdy, I tried letting go and sure enough he stood there just hanging on. He was so cute peeking over the top of the bin looking at all the stuff...probably thinking "Man, would I love to get my hands on those ornaments."

The little guy got sick and had a pretty high fever one day over Christmas, so we took all his clothes off and gave him a bath and it came down pretty quick. We left his clothes off to keep him cool and plus, I think he just loves being naked. We had to keep his bib on though because he still drools so much. Then we put on his new baseball cap that our neighbors got him for Christmas and he was so darn cute. Something tells me this kid is going to be a ham when he gets older...
