The Early Bird...

I went to a photography class this weekend that was all about "shooting" your kids. It was held by a local photographer and we learned some great photography tips for taking pictures of kids (and just pictures in general) and also talked about editing in Photoshop. Ever since Noah was born, I've really become interested in photography and wanting to learn more and become better at it but it's really kind of overwhelming....especially for someone like me who is so new to this. So after our class, I decided to get a little practice and take some pictures of Noah and Jeff playing in the back yard and feeding the birds. Jeff loves watching the birds in our yard and thinks its his duty to keep them fed at all times (even though the only thanks we get is them sneaking up to our deck to eat our dogs' food and poop all over the place). But anyways, it's something he enjoys, so now he likes to get Noah to help him fill up the feeders and put food out for the squirrels too (yes we also feed the squirrels because otherwise they eat all the birds' food. It's a regular wildlife refuge around here). And it's unbelievable how fast they eat their food. These birds must be sitting up in the tree just waiting for him to come out there and refill their feeder. We've seen quite a few fights between some bullies that like to think the food is all for them. It's like going to the KFC buffet when they bring out the fresh chicken (except I don't eat at the KFC buffet anymore because, well, I've seen some really unappetizing things happen there). Anyways, it's so cute to see Noah following daddy all around the yard trying to help him...and trying to take a bite of the squirrel food every now and then. You could tell that he was so proud to be helping out. ; )

Karen, the pictures are great. I have been wanting to take a photography class forever! Do you have Photoshop? I am about to invest in a Mac and I am going to ask David to get me Photoshop for Christmas. But I am really nervous that I will get it and have no clue how to use it. Noah and Jeff are too cute together! Hey, are you going to the Razorback game in LR the Saturday before Thanksgiving? If so, we should meet up! We are taking Tyler to her first Hogs Game!
